BIO-Europe spring landed in Basel

,

Last week, biotech entrepreneurs gathered at the Messe in Basel for BIO-Europe Spring, the premier springtime partnering conference for biotech. Among the 3200 attendees, a delegation of 95 Dutch attendees were present. The Health~Holland pavilion served as the perfect place to put the Netherlands in the spotlight.

At the Health~Holland pavilion, people came by to learn about the strengths of the Dutch life sciences sector and business climate, to meet other Dutch attendees during breaks in between the partnering appointments, or just to enjoy a stroopwafel. At the hospitality reception on Monday evening, we upheld the tradition of raffling a Loyens & Loeff bike. The winner this time was Mark Farmery, Chief Development Officer at Anocca, a Swedish biotech developing next generation T cell therapies. Apart from his work at Anocca, Mark also happened to be the proud founder of BiotechBikers, an international community of bioscience professionals passionate about cycling.

We had a blast and hope to see you all again later this year! From June 5-8, you can join us at BIO International Convention in Boston.
