Central to the Life Sciences & Health industries’ success  and effective growth from an early-stage venture into a more mature, established enterprise, is efficient management of funding and finance processes. This session delves into the intricate web of funding strategies, encompassing both non-dilutive and dilutive avenues, and explores the evolution of finance departments and related processes in response to funding milestones.

In this engaging TOPX Session that will be hosted by EY, we will hear first-hand experiences around life sciences funding, finance and entrepreneurship by Susan Swarte (CFO of TNO), Veronique Bockstal (Author & Founder of De vrouw van 1 miljoen) and Mariette van der Velden-Roesink (General Partner at Curie Capital). Frank van de Manakker  (Client Executive & Sector Representative Life Sciences & Health at EY) and other EY Life Sciences community colleagues will set the scene by presenting market trends, insights and lessons learnt in both the non-dilutive and dilutive funding space as well as the typically observed evolution of the finance function of a (bio)pharma company.
