This event is an excellent opportunity for scientists and industry experts to engage in meaningful conversations, exchange knowledge, and stay at the forefront of regulatory developments in microbial strain safety. During the event, BaseClear will delve into key critical topics for advancing our understanding and application of microbial strains in the food and feed industry. The esteemed speakers will cover the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) requirements for the approval of feed additives, discuss regulatory aspects surrounding the production of novel ingredients such as lipids through fermentation, and explore the EFSA’s Risk Assessment of Microorganisms intentionally added to the food chain. There will also be an opportunity to examine the use of genetically modified fungi as production strains for enzymes and human milk oligosaccharides (HMOs) and their regulatory perspectives.
