Biotech for a sustainable future 2024

Hollandbio

12/09/24

Join us on September 12th, when the Dutch agri, food and industrial biotech community gathers again in De Kas in Woerden for an exciting afternoon filled with interactive sessions, inspirational speakers and ample networking opportunity.

Building upon the top three needs for a more impactful sector formulated last year, this edition of the event will be dedicated to societal acceptance and effective biotech storytelling. In collaboration with the Dutch Biotechnology Association (NBV), we will invite various experts on stage to show and teach you how to best inspire others on biotech’s potential – even your curious aunt at your next family gathering 😉.

Be there and boost your inner biotech ambassador!

The biotech narrative

Hollandbio’s Annemiek Verkamman will share learnings and results on the work hollandbio has been doing to ensure that biotech’s benefits are understood and valued across communities and corridors of power. We will present our brand-new narrative and explain how you can help show society and policy makers that biotech makes life better!

Workshop scientific storytelling

During a one hour workshop, Marloes ten Kate and David Redeker will teach you the essentials of a good story. Discover which structure and ingredients are essential to captivate your audience from start to finish and make abstract facts more understandable and engaging.

Case study – Mosa Meat’s communication journey

Mosa Meat is a pioneer in the cellular agriculture industry and on track to offer consumers a revolutionary choice in beef. But first they must navigate a complex regulatory pathway that is fraught with polarisation and misinformation. Hear from the Chief Marketing Officer Tim van de Rijdt and VP of Global Public Affairs Robert Jones on lessons learned on their communications journey toward market introduction of a kinder, cleaner beef.
